What is better in the winter than a hot cup of cocoa on a cold snowy day? At our house, our kids LOVE hot cocoa. And the stuff in the box is... well... eh... it's missing something. Try to give it a lift by adding a few simple ingredients to it.
Hot Cocoa mix-
5 cups of dry powdered milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup of powdered creamer (flavored powdered creamer for flavored hot cocoa)
1/2 cup of instant coffee (or decaffeinated coffee) this is optional
Put into a big bowl and stir slowly with a spoon until even. Pour into jars for storage. This will fit perfectly into 1 half gallon sized mason jar.
Decorate the jars up a bit and make them festive for Christmas! Makes awesome presents!
